The Bryant Media Center blog is where you'll find regular posts about the work we're doing in the Bryant Media Center.
Students have two different kinds of library classes this year:
- All students get one hour of Information Literacy and Technology (ILT). This combines basic research skills with free reading and technology lessons. You can find out more about our curriculum and the media department at our district web page.
- I am teaching Humanities classes for all first grades and some second grades this year. This is ninety minutes each week extending classroom curriculum using technology. You'll get updates when we begin projects. Right now we're reviewing how to use tools like Seesaw and practicing our inquiry skills in listening, asking good questions and working with small groups.
My kids Ivy (10) and Dexter (8) and I have had a great summer! I visited Norway for a week, and we went to North Carolina and the Renaissance Faire. I also taught summer school at Bryant, as well as helping with the annual tech conference for Michigan educators.
I'm so excited to be FULL TIME at Bryant this year as your media specialist! Write a comment here and let me know what you and your kids have been reading.
